But we're getting ahead of ourselves.

Bloom Kombucha began long before there were bottles, flavours, or farmers' markets. It started when Britt was studying Holistic Nutrition and discovered the incredible impact that fermented foods can have on overall health.

As she learned more about the gut microbiome and the powerful connection between the gut and the brain (hello, gut-brain connection!), kombucha quickly became part of her daily routine. Before long, she noticed improvements in her digestion, energy levels, and mental clarity.

Inspired by the benefits she was experiencing firsthand, Britt decided to try brewing kombucha at home. Like most things, there was a learning curve. According to her husband, those first batches weren't exactly award-winning. But Britt was hooked. She kept experimenting, refining recipes, and sharing bottles with family and friends so they could experience the benefits of kombucha too.

Then one day, her friend Stephanie stopped by and tried a glass.

"Have you ever thought about selling this?" she asked.

At first, Britt wasn't convinced. She was already running a busy nutrition practice and wasn't exactly looking for another project. But if she was being honest, the thought had crossed her mind more than once.

That's when Stephanie said the words that changed everything:

"Let's do it together."

And that was all the convincing Britt needed.

What started as a kitchen hobby and a shared passion for wellness quickly grew into Bloom Kombucha, a small-batch kombucha company built on friendship, community, and a love for creating delicious beverages that make people feel good.

Today, every batch is still brewed with the same care, curiosity, and intention that started it all with Toby the SCOBY.

It all started with Toby the SCOBY.
